Common Winter Boiler Faults

• Low boiler pressure
• Frozen condensate pipe
• Ignition problems
• Faulty or misset thermostat

Quick Checks

• Repressurise the boiler to 1 to 1.5 bar
• Thaw the condensate pipe with warm (not boiling) water
• Reset the boiler

When to Call a Gas Safe Engineer

• You smell gas or suspect a leak
• The boiler still won't fire after quick checks
• Pressure keeps dropping or there are leaks
• Fault codes persist or the pilot keeps going out
• Never open the boiler casing yourself
